We've been flocked!

We woke up this morning to fifty flamingos in our front yard!
*
To raise $$$ for sports programs
the local booster club
will "flock" any house in town
for a cash donation.
 *
{Thanks Crystal and Kenny!} :)
 *
When the woman came to
pick up the flock she said,
"This is probably the only house in town
where the flamingos actually look good!"

 That is a compliment, right?
*
Did you notice the ducks checking out the flock?
*
Now it's our turn to do the "flocking!"

Royal Wedding...

OK, not exactly, but...

On April 26, 1980

I did feel like

But now, after 31 years...
 !
;)
We're still working out whether he's the the king,

court jester, or simply, "mr. wonderful"...
Sometime it's debatable!  :)
But, for better or for worse, he's mine!
 Happy Anniversary, hon.
Love you.

look and listen

I've been noticing
Spring
sights and sounds.
So much of the snow has melted away.
I spotted a female bluebird on Monday. :)
The sound of songbirds fills the morning air!
I'm counting my blessings!

in the pink

Flowers seem the solace of ordinary humanity.

~John Ruskin

There's something

quite appealing about
tulips in the snow...

 and mini cupcakes

frosted to look like

pink roses

for a valentine party...

But the sweetest little flower

I've seen lately is the

most recent addition to our family.

Introducing my

great niece...
 God bless you, sweet baby.

wedding in the summertime

The wedding was beautiful!
The flowers were PINK! :) One of the two flower girls

walked down the aisle with the ring bearer

with confidence and a smile.

One needed a little coaxing.

She agreed to walk down with the maid of honor.
:)
The location was lovely...

everything was in bloom at the vineyard.

The groom's pastor Dad married the happy couple.

:) And his Mom, my friend, Susan,

didn't stop smiling all day! :)

~*~

The bride and groom had their engagement photos taken

while bike riding and that became their theme.

Guests signed their framed engagement photo.

The centerpieces continued the bicycle motif.

The cake was simply darling.

...and the happy couple danced the night away!

...a delightful day indeed!

It feels like starting over...

I stop at Dunkin Donuts to get a coffee on my way to school in the morning.
I drink my coffee black.
If I want to drink it right away I have to pop in an ice cube.
How fun it was to get to school and find heart-shaped ice cubes in the freezer on Valentine's Day!
I couldn't resist posting a few Valentine photos.  I LOVE Valentine's Day!
But...I have not been able to access the internet on my home computer since the end of January!
To make a long story short, if anything could go wrong,
or if there could be any glitches involved,  there were!
Suffice to say that I've missed you very much,
and I'm happy to be able to get back in touch!!!
Absence does make the heart grow fonder...
It's late, but,
I'm looking forward to catching up on all that has been going on
as soon as I can!
Thank you, so much to those of you who have left comments while I've been out of touch.
It means a great deal to me!
Blessings!

two kids and a cake :)

Well, I'm not sure what happened to
Pink Week,*
 but I decided to share
some  pink love of my own! :)
Olivia pretty in pink!
And it's been awhile, since I posted a pic of my favorite little man!
So far he's lovin' his new Lightning McQueen potty!

I thought you might like a peek at the cake I made for the art teacher at my school.
{We draw names to celebrate birthdays, and I was happy to get Mrs. M's!}
I made a rectangle Funfetti cake and cut it to look like an artist's palette.
Then I sprayed a cookie sheet with Pam and melted a
few Lifesaver candies to represent blobs of paint.
I added a Happy Birthday cupcake topper that I'd saved
for just such a time as this, and a cheap paintbrush for effect,
&
Voila!

~birthday cake extrordinaire~
{and so simple!}
