dreamy

This would be the most perfect room
for my little prince and princess
when they stay overnight. They aren't dog beds are they?!?

red sox and the sandbox

My brother and sister-in-law gave
Red Sox tickets to their nieces and
their husbands/boyfriend for Christmas this year.
(I love this pic of my girls with "Wally!")
Thanks to Darnell McDonald, the Red Sox rookie,
for making the night at the ballgame SO memorable!
The Sox snapped a 5 game losing streak and won 7-6. :)

While they were at the game, Grampie and I had charge of the two munchkins. :)

We had such a good time,
it's hard to decide
who enjoyed themselves more!

All I know is, neither of our two
sweet darlins'
wanted to leave.
Awww...
and I just can't get enough of their
sweet hugs and kisses!

IF...

On April 7th , the Duchess posted a thoughtful essay of
"IF"s.
It has stayed with me and I have enjoyed it as
a thought provoking look at myself.
Thank you, Duchess! I'm so happy to have crossed paths with you!
Why not try filling in the blanks for yourself?!
:)
If I were a month, I would be April.
If I were a day of the week, I would be Saturday.
If I were a time of day, I would be sunrise.
If I were the weather, I would be sunny with a lilac scented breeze.
If I were a direction I would be north.
If I were a scent, I would be coffee.
If I were a tree, I would be a birch
{although my friends might say I was a Weeping Willow! }.
If I were a flower, I would be a Pink Rose , a Peony, or a Hydrangea.
If I were an animal, I would be a bluebird.
If I were fine bone china, I would be a pink rose teacup.
If I were a car , I would be a 1953 Chevy Pick-up Truck!
If I were a drink, I would be Champagne.
If I were a fruit I would be a strawberry.
If I were a dessert, I would be Strawberry Shortcake with whipped cream.
If I were a perfume, I would be Chanel # 5.
If were a gemstone, I would be a pink diamond or tanzanite.
If I were a castle, I would be the one pictured above.
If I was a musical instrument I would be a saxophone.
If I were a song, I would be "Jesus Loves Me."
If I were a color I would be pink or sage green.
If I were an emotion, I would be contentment.
If I were a taste, I would be sweet & salty.
If I were a museum, I would be the Louvre.
If I were a country, I would be America.
If I could be any one,
I would be
the best
me
I
could
be!
And you?...

first shoes

I found these at my Mom's the other day.
She had written on the box

Sue's first shoes

MRS. DAY'S Ideal Baby Shoe

sweet find, huh?

The Ideal CREED

"The Shoe of the Baby Determines the Foot of the Adult."

"I'm feeling a little sad and sentimental today.

My last little chick flew the nest on Sunday.

After 28 years, our nest is empty.

Once I pull myself out of this FUNK

I'm going to reorganize this nest into

the

nest

of

my

dreams!

she's not just a waitress

I have lots of Easter pics to share later,
but I thought I'd put in a plug
for my first-born (of three) daughter's
new blog.
She's a great writer with
a HUGE sense of humor
and.my.friend.
Oh, no, she's not just a waitress!
Have yourself a cuppa java
and take a look!

he lives!

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Matthew 28:6aI serve a risen Savior, he's in the world today;
I know that he is living whatever men may say;
I see his hand of mercy; I hear his voice of cheer,
And just the time I need him, he's always near.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing.
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the king!
The hope of all who seek him,
The help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.

Chorus:
He lives, he lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, he lives, salvation to impart!
You ask my how I know he lives?
He lives within my heart.

magical day

"Salagadoola menchicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Put 'em together and what have you got
bibbidi-bobbidi bibbidi-bobbidi bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"

Today my daughters and I
enjoyed complimentary tickets to
"Disney on Ice."

It was Olivia's first major production!

In the afternoon,
my youngest daughter had
an
Easter
egg
hunt,
and the Easter Bunny came.

Dayton was cool with the bunny...

but Livi...

not so much!

Wishing you a blessed Easter.
