happy may day

I'm off to deliver a may basket to my sweet mom.
Wishing you a May Day that's filled with delight! "The May-pole is up,
Now give me the cup;
I'll drink to the garlands around it;
But first unto those
Whose hands did compose
The glory of flowers that crown'd it."
- Robert Herrick, The Maypole, 1660

  2. Susan dearest! Well, if a hat is not your cup of tea, then come in a mile-high coiffe or just as you are, for imagination is the ticket to get into Rabbit Hill!!!!! How lovely your "finds" on the previous post and your May Day flowers....so French, you know! In France, the Muguets are the flower of choice to ring in the new season. Beautifully presented here on your lovely blog, they are a welcome sight! We went to a community yard sale yesterday Susan, that would have left you speechless!!!! Oh what fun the warm weather is, although here in Minneapolis, yesterday was brusk and cool, but we don't let a little nasty weather stop us, do we?

    Have a magnificent Sunday dear! Anita
