I am thinking I really need to get a bike this summer. Imagine how quickly I could get to your house from mine on a bike!! If I go down Walnut St. hill?!?! I might get whiplash!! :) There is something lovely about a bicycle that hearkens back to a simpler time. Yeah...I gotta get me a bike. :)
Reminded me of my summers when I was growing up. We each had our bicycles and spent lots of time riding tgether. The collection of pictures that you shared today are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them. They made me smile.
Good morning Susan!!! So lovely to come and see that fabulous bikes, just beckoning me to get on and tour our lovely cities! Thank you for coming to my post! We have only about 2 1/2 weeks left of school....I wish you the BEST summer ever. I am changing job responsibilities a bit for next year due to both our English teachers being cut. I will still have my own classroom, but I will be team-teaching with another fourth grade teacher. I will be teaching her kids and my kids social studies and science in French, and both her students and mine ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS, while she teaches my kids and hers French Language Arts and math. Whew! I have never taught English in elementary, only ESL to Japanese college students. So this summer will be quite different from I had envisioned: having nothing to do!!!!
Wonderful post, Susan!! There is nothing quite as romantic as a vintage bike filled with flowers. I could picture any of these parked somewhere in my gardens. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend, dear friend~ Vicki
Love this...I need to get my "Maria" out and take her for a spin! Hugs today. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, now that is gorgeous, a montage of gorgeous, vintage bikes!!! Anita
ReplyDeleteThere is something so romantic about a bicycle with a basket full of flowers. The only way to get around.
ReplyDeleteMy 5 year old bike (from Walmart) has three speeds and coaster breaks. Just enough for me. I hope I never have to buy a new one . . .
