duty. honor. country.

My Dad was in the Navy during the Korean War.
(This is him with my oldest daughter in the mid 80's.)
Thank you, Dad.
My brother joined the Marines the summer he graduated from high school.
Thank you, Brian.
My son-in-law served in the Coast Guard.
Thank you, Kenny.
Thank you to all who've served our country and
protected our freedom.
I
am
grateful.

  1. Beautiful post. My dad was also in the Korean war. I've got my flag ready to go out tomorrow. Are we still suppose to keep them at half-mast?

  2. Nope, unfurl that flag and let her fly! I checked with the US Dept of Veterans Affairs and the short answer is "no."
