  6. Such beautiful sentiment! It's so easy to forget that the way we live didn't come naturally...that men and women had to give themselves to keep us safe and free. :) Hats off to them.

    And yes, her Dad was a veteran. He was in the Navy. The middle picture is he and I when I was a little girl and he was marching in the Memorial day parade. It is one of my most treasured photographs ever. It's hanging on the wall in my living room and I find it captures my gaze daily.
